Congratulations CREW, we exceeded our school goal of $1,140/lap! We are still working on our final totals, but it’s clear we were able to have a successful Fun Run and raise much needed money to support our fabulous PTA! Thank you for all of your time and effort in supporting the APEX Fun Run.
It is that time of year again - Bare Book time! Students are working diligently as authors and illustrators to their very own Bare Book! The PTA graciously purchased a hardcover blank book for each of our students. Students get to engage in the writing process and create their very own original story! Bare Books will be on display at Literacy Night, Thursday, May 9th, from 5:30-7.
There will be a change in this year’s Literacy Night. Unfortunately, Rincon Market has made a few changes under their new ownership, and they no longer do catering. We are working with the PTA to provide an alternative at this time. Please stay tuned for more information.
Thank you for taking the time to complete the Parent Questionnaire (lavender paper). The information on the page truly helped us make placements for next year. When building classes, grade level teams use the parent questionnaire and information collected by the classroom teacher. We do not take teacher requests because we strive to create well-balanced, equitable classes. Thank you in advance for providing useful information about your child as a learner!
Mark your calendars! May 14th is OMAPalooza in our courtyard. The performance will begin at 5:00pm. Don’t forget to bring blankets and/or chairs to sit on. The students have been working very hard with Ms. Gascho to put on a wonderful show. See you there!
Congratulations to Mr. Christopher Rodarte for being selected as the Teacher of the Year for the 2018-2019 School Year. Mr. Rodarte will be recognized and will be representing Sam Hughes at the TUSD Celebration of the Stars on Wednesday, May 8th at Catalina High School. Thank you, Mr. Rodarte for all that you do for our CREW!!!
